6. Do not shout or over react towards your kid's undesirable habits this can invariably make him or her stubborn. Instead give good reason for your disapproval of the behavior. Find out other ways and means to correct your kid's behavior. Sometimes a stern look may be more effective than a shout.
7. Be firm. Parents should always keep in mind that they don't deviate from their statements. A 'no' must be a 'no' and shouldn't turn to a yes at any circumstance. This will help in not only disciplining the kid but also changing faulty behaviors.
